Cleaning Supervisor Job Description

At WESTMAN FACILITY SERVICES, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations of our facilities, ensuring that they are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, and supervise cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to identify areas that require attention and implement corrective actions to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning supplies and services.
  • Recommend additional services required to maintain facilities, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist cleaning staff in performing their duties and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that cleaning staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a cleaning or facilities management role.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Physical demands of the job include standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Reliability, client focus, and judgement are essential qualities for this role.
