About the Role

The BC Public Service Agency is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Office Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial part in supporting public safety by managing key aspects of the hiring process, including drafting employment offers and ensuring thorough record checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key aspects of the hiring process, including drafting employment offers and ensuring thorough record checks.
  • Take on financial responsibilities and coordinate administrative processes across field offices.
  • Provide vital leadership and support to a diverse group of Probation Officers across Vancouver Island and Powell River.
  • Work collaboratively with Office Managers and Local Managers to enhance public safety.
Requirements
  • A combination of four (4) years of related experience, education and/or training (e.g., administrative or secretarial support), or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in word processing and other standard computer applications, e.g., spreadsheets, data bases;
  • Experience referencing government clerical, financial and establishment policies;
  • Experience in leave management, payroll and personnel functions;
  • Experience using the internet and email.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in human relations;
  • Experience utilizing CHIPS (Corporate Human Resource Information and Payroll System);
  • Experience in recruitment and selection paneling.
