Senior Manager, Payment and Settlement Operations Specialist

The Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead the Payment and Settlement Operations team in Calgary. As a key member of the Banking and Payments Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of the federal government's retail and wholesale debt programs, as well as providing back-office payment and settlement services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of approximately 35 Banking and Payments Specialists in the Calgary office
- Develop and implement staffing schedules to ensure smooth operations
- Resolve problems and emergencies in a timely fashion
- Provide subject-matter expertise and training to staff
- Represent the Bank and Payment and Settlement Operations on internal and external committees
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or public administration
- Minimum of five years of related work experience in operational areas of banking and/or finance, with increasing levels of management and leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of payment, clearing, and settlement issues and practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
- Competitive salary range of $121,842 to $143,344 (job grade 18)
