About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Pine Villa Retirement Home. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' living spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Stock Management: Stock linen closets and ensure that all cleaning supplies are readily available.
  • Disinfection and Sanitation: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and disinfect operating rooms and other areas.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, and pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work independently, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
