Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations and distribution functions. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain Management and 5+ years of management experience in a warehouse manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the scheduling of personnel, reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight products and supplies that come in and out of the warehouse.
  • Ensure all production orders are shipped to customers adhering to delivery schedules.
  • Communicate delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to appropriate parties.
  • Maintain strict control over inventory accuracy in racks and warehouse-related locations.
  • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage and achieve full warehouse utilization and optimization.
  • Develop and enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Supervise a team of warehouse salary and hourly employees, including task delegation, procedural and scanner training, performance evaluation, disciplinary corrective action, and termination.
  • Work with the Operations Packaging/Processing/Supply Chain Teams to manage the material handling plan, prioritization, scheduling, and staging of packaging/processing materials to meet packing/processing line requirements.
  • Define and execute the most efficient location for product rework requirements/assembly/rework.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment. Assess the need for and arrange the purchase and maintenance of moving equipment like trailers, forklifts, pump trucks, dollies, etc.
  • Organize the Cycle Count process and coordinate, with the front office, all the necessary adjustments.
  • Be responsible for the coordination and execution of the annual inventory reconciliation count for finished goods, packaging supplies, and raw materials.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
  • Be accountable for investigating/reporting/recording (safety accountability) all work-related accidents and property damage as it relates to the Warehouse Department.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Business, with a focus on Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, or materials management or related equivalent experience.
  • Five-plus years of management experience in a warehouse manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of operations, warehouse management, inventory systems, and transportation management - Knowledge of OHSA and safety systems.
  • Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is an asset.
  • All Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Licensed on Counterbalance forklift and Raymond Reach.
  • Health and Safety Certification I II is an asset.
