About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Kinesiologist to join our team at the CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal. As a Kinesiologist, you will play a key role in designing and implementing safe and adapted physical activity programs for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Design and conduct physical activities and individual or group interventions based on your field of practice and expertise
    • Lead teaching groups for clients and promote the benefits of physical activity and healthy lifestyles for their well-being and mental health
    • Develop programming within the Day Center to enable clients to be physically active, work on their endurance, maintain good functional autonomy, and achieve adaptation and readaptation objectives in terms of their behaviors
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Actively participate in individualized intervention plans with the CAJ team
    • Regularly exchange with team members to follow up on intervention plan objectives and means to implement
    • Collaborate with colleagues in developing Day Center activities and participate in meetings and visual stations
  • Client Support and Evaluation
    • Evaluate and/or collect evaluative data based on your field of practice and skills
    • Propose intervention strategies within your field of expertise to address anxiety, stress, and emotion regulation problems, for example using neuromuscular relaxation activities or motor expenses
    • Determine intervention plan objectives with the client in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and identify the best strategies to adopt based on your expertise
  • Record Keeping and Statistics
    • Maintain records and complete statistics
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in physical education, kinesiology, or another appropriate academic discipline
Preferred Qualifications
  • Rehabilitation work experience
