Job Description

**About the Role**

PEGASE Construction Inc., a leading general contractor, is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee the execution of various projects across institutional, municipal, and commercial markets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Coordinate and supervise project submissions and execution
  • Lead project teams and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including performance indicators
  • Negotiate and prepare contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Oversee the review of shop drawings and fabrication questions that impact project delivery
  • Validate that internal materials are ready for project commencement
  • Identify critical issues affecting project profitability or timelines, and inform senior management to implement corrective actions
  • Prepare and/or approve change order estimates
  • Coordinate project invoicing
  • Attend site meetings as required
  • Ensure payment terms are met
  • Ensure project closure activities are completed (provisional acceptance request, project manual, release of retainage, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with clients and partners
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) designation (an asset)
  • Proficiency in MS Project software
  • Strong prioritization and attention to detail
  • Organized and structured
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage remote teams
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written)
  • Valid driver's license
