We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Standard Truck & Crane Ltd. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and protected.
  • Obtain Special Permits: Obtain any necessary special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of our vehicles, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed, ensuring that our trucks are always in a safe and operational condition.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure that all aspects of our vehicles are in good working order.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
