Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Health Care Aide to provide assistance with daily living activities, support services, and patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to promote a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety needs.
  • Assist with organized activities and programs to promote patient engagement and well-being.
  • Observe and report on patient mood, health, and wellbeing to healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to work independently and as a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supportive Pathways course.
  • Palliative Care course/experience.
  • NVCI course.
  • It's Your Move course.
  • Foot care course/experience.
