Amazon Safety Operations Specialist

Amazon is looking for a dedicated Safety Operations Specialist to oversee and execute all facets of the Amazon Global Safety Program within their designated facility. The Safety Operations Specialist fosters a constructive environment and ensures a secure workplace by delivering training and mentoring team members on best practices. Key responsibilities encompass:

  • Tracking and maintaining precise metrics for reporting purposes
  • Guaranteeing adherence to corporate program standards and legal requirements
  • Performing risk evaluations and suggesting corrective actions
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • At least 1 year of experience in an Environmental Health & Safety role, or a Bachelor's degree
  • 6 months of experience in a safety-related position within Amazon
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in managing worker's compensation cases
  • Bachelor's degree in a safety-related discipline
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Background in emergency response and certification in First Aid and CPR
