Job Title: Mining Operator Trainer

Toromont Cat is a leading provider of customer service excellence in various industries. The primary objective of our operator-training department is to introduce cutting-edge equipment with the latest technologies to our customers. As a successful candidate, you will develop the ability to demonstrate and describe product features related to safety, productivity, and daily service, working closely with the sales department to schedule with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop training content according to established Caterpillar standards.
  • Travel regularly to multiple branch locations and customer worksites.
  • Prepare and research from the nearest branch or from your residence, suitable for office work.
  • Deliver Orientation training material during product delivery to operators and/or owners of new machines, employing various multimedia material.
  • Behave in an exemplary manner, particularly in terms of customer relations and Health and Safety at work.
Requirements:
  • Able to apply existing operator experience to different Mining machine product types and new applications.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience as an operator is preferred.
  • A variety of industry experiences along with Common Core is a plus.
  • Ability to lead proactively under challenging situations.
  • Ability to travel and open to new experiences.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Valid Passport.
  • High school diploma.
  • Communication skills are essential. In order to convey knowledge, you must be attentive and focused on the group. Motivated and autonomous, you must work professionally with a minimum of supervision.
  • Comfortable using office software such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Video conferencing, etc.
  • Proficient in both French and English, as effective communication in both languages is essential for this role.
