The Refrigeration Technician role is pivotal within our organization, and the successful candidate will report to the Service Supervisor. We are looking for a professional with extensive experience in various refrigeration and HVAC systems, capable of diagnosing and resolving issues effectively. Although primarily an HVAC company, we also engage in work involving chillers and smaller refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and service clients' refrigeration systems.
  • Work on rooftop units (RTUs) and HVAC systems.
  • Inspect system components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, and expansion valves.
  • Conduct system checks, troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery.
  • Perform electrical and gas system diagnostics.
  • Keep accurate records, including daily service logs and refrigerant recovery reports.
  • Investigate and resolve complex system issues.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation.
  • Conduct safety inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as an HVAC/Refrigeration technician.
  • HVAC certification.
  • Proficiency in brazing and soldering.
  • Familiarity with local building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
  • Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physically fit and able to handle heavy equipment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Valid Class 5 SK Driver's License with a clean record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and mobile applications.
