Job Overview

OPSIS is seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team in Morley, Alberta. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate technical service projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and contractors, facilitating communication, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and sales, to assess client needs, develop project plans, and allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements.
  • Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, and technical specifications in collaboration with the engineering team, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and provide regular updates to stakeholders, identifying and addressing any deviations from the project plan to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to assess project conditions, verifying compliance with technical specifications, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during project execution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and reports, using project management software and tools to track project performance and facilitate decision-making.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Minimum level 1 certification in WT, WWT, WWC, WDS or higher (proof required)
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract (proof required)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 kgs (77 lbs)
  • Mechanical skills: proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Certificates in H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, TDG (an asset)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
