Pediatric Nurse Job Description

Closing the Gap Healthcare Group Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patients and advise physicians of any changes in their condition
  • Participate in community needs assessments and develop strategies to address them
  • Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions and develop care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary health teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Conduct disease screening and provide health education programs to patients and their families
  • Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Manage home care cases and provide support to patients and their families
  • Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment and provide nursing care
  • Perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Pediatrics area of specialization
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 48-hour workweek. The work setting is a home care and visiting care agency, with occasional visits to private residences. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
