Diagnostic Medical Sonographer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Sonography department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and related duties in collaboration with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and examinations in accordance with established protocols and standards of professional practice.
- Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective patient care.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in ultrasound imaging and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff as needed.
- Graduate of a recognized/accredited North American program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).
- Current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP) as required for the assigned practice area.
- Active membership in good standing with ARDMS and/or Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
