POSITION: RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST FOR STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

DEPARTMENT: Office of Student Recruitment

TYPE: Contractual Position

ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager of Student Recruitment and will play a pivotal role in executing the institution's strategic initiatives related to student recruitment and admissions. This position is integral to fostering connections with prospective students and their influencers, ensuring a smooth transition into university life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with potential and newly admitted students.
  • Design, implement, and assess innovative recruitment strategies.
  • Present comprehensive information about the university to diverse audiences at local, national, and international levels.
  • Engage with newly admitted students during the admission follow-up phase to facilitate their registration and transition.
  • Collaborate with various university departments to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This role necessitates significant travel, including public engagements and potential international trips, along with the ability to manage physical demands associated with the position.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Candidates should possess a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a post-secondary environment, ideally focusing on student support, recruitment, and admissions. A completed undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational, communication, leadership, and public speaking skills. Familiarity with the post-secondary education landscape is crucial, with knowledge of Memorial University programs being advantageous. A valid Class 5 driver's license and a current passport are mandatory.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
