Job Title: Restaurant Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen and front of house areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Assist the Restaurant Manager in supervising and motivating a team of servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
  • Cash Handling and Inventory: Assist with cash handling, balance sheets, and inventory management to ensure accurate financial records and efficient stock control.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive a high level of service, addressing any complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Training and Development: Assist with on-the-job training for new staff members and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they reach their full potential.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they reach their full potential.
