Job Description

Job Title: Senior Technical Consultant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Consultant to join our team at Burns & McDonnell. As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will provide industry-leading expertise to complex projects, providing technical oversight, expertise, and leading technical design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Direct client requests and provide guidance on complex, non-traditional systems.
  2. Manage implementation and validation of internal standards and technical specifications.
  3. Responsible for strategic insight and market share growth for consulting services.
  4. Oversee key pursuits and manage relationships with clients, customers, and contractors.
  5. Approve go/no-go decisions and direct proposal efforts.
  6. Present project budgets and estimates, and develop and deliver training classes.
  7. Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to staff, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, with 7 years of applicable experience, or Master's degree in engineering with 6 years of experience, or PhD in engineering with 4 years of experience.
  2. Recognized as a technical resource, with a demonstrated network of external colleagues and vendors.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, expert computer skills, and facilitation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Expert written and oral communications skills, and ability to work methodically and analytically.
  5. Professional Engineer (PE) License Required.
