Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Health & Safety Training Specialist to join our team in Nova Scotia. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive safety training programs.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging health and safety training materials and programs tailored to diverse audiences.
- Conduct thorough reviews of existing safety programs and systems, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
- Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to develop and implement effective safety procedures and protocols.
- Partner with subject matter experts to create high-quality safety training content that meets industry best practices.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in occupational health and safety is preferred.
- Professional certification such as CRSP, CRST, CSP, or CHSC is highly valued.
- Minimum five years of experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
- Proven ability to facilitate engaging and informative health and safety training sessions.
