About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned software professional to lead our software development efforts as Vice President of Software. This is a key leadership position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the software development lifecycle, strategic planning, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead software development teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  2. Develop and execute software strategy aligned with our company's goals and vision.
  3. Build and lead a high-performing software engineering team, mentoring and guiding software engineers to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software into our proprietary robots.
  5. Design and implement scalable, robust software solutions to enhance the functionality, reliability, and performance of our robotic systems.
  6. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, introducing new methodologies and technologies to enhance our software capabilities.
  7. Oversee software project planning, scheduling, and execution, managing resources and ensuring timely delivery of software solutions.
  8. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including investors and customers.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software development, preferably within the field of robotics, automation, or AI-led companies.
  3. Proficiency in software development methodologies, programming languages, and tools, with experience in robotics software development, real-time systems, and AI/machine learning a plus.
  4. Proven track record of leading and managing software engineering teams, with strong ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
  5. Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, with a focus on pushing the overall speed of an organization.
  6. Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and driving collaborative efforts.
  7. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of change and uncertainty.

  2. Salary Range for this role is $160,000 - $200,000 + Bonus + Employee Stock Option Plan.
