Vice President of Financial Operations Job Overview

Marchex is in search of a Vice President of Financial Operations to lead all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role is vital for ensuring the prompt dissemination of financial data to both internal teams and external partners.

  • Oversee all accounting functions and financial reporting mechanisms, including team management and system oversight
  • Guarantee precise and timely submissions of financial documents to regulatory bodies
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, formulate financial policies, and oversee budget management
  • Work closely with senior management to facilitate informed financial decision-making
  • Prepare and evaluate financial statements and reports for accuracy and clarity
  • Supervise the reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts
  • Establish and uphold internal controls to ensure compliant accounting practices
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate transactions and address any issues
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline
  • CPA certification is mandatory; experience with a 'Big Four' accounting firm is highly regarded
  • Demonstrated history of upholding high-quality internal control standards
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Proven capability to manage and nurture team members effectively
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software
