We are looking for a talented Software Test Engineer with a strong background in Python and JavaScript to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be tasked with creating, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure the excellence of our software solutions. This position demands a solid understanding of software testing practices, automation frameworks, and a meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the software product's quality by performing automated tests to confirm that the application meets the established standards and requirements.
- Craft detailed, thorough, and well-organized test plans and test cases. Execute test cases and interpret results.
- Conduct extensive testing of web applications, identifying issues in both frontend and backend components. Ensure compatibility across various browsers and devices.
- Utilize test automation technologies to develop and maintain automated test scripts. Enhance and optimize testing frameworks to boost test coverage and efficiency.
- Document software defects using a bug tracking system and communicate defects to development teams. Work closely with developers to ensure prompt resolution of bugs.
- Continuously refine the testing process by embracing new testing tools and methodologies. Engage in the creation and review of software documentation to guarantee high-quality outputs.
- Collaborate with the development team to discuss test outcomes and address issues. Work with Customer Success and Technical Support teams to respond to product inquiries and resolve technical challenges.
- Demonstrated experience as a software tester or in a similar capacity, particularly in testing web applications.
- In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Proven experience in drafting clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, etc. Ability to develop and troubleshoot test automation scripts.
- Familiarity with Python and JavaScript is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail to identify bugs and discrepancies that may otherwise go unnoticed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a logical and systematic approach to challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report findings clearly.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
