Job Summary:
The Construction Field Coordinator - Buildings, Electrical, Mechanical Specialist will be responsible for providing hands-on field support and acting as a liaison between Construction Superintendents and site trades to ensure that scheduling, work performance, and adherence to project goals are aligned and in order.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to Project Safety policies and procedures.
- Review and understand project schedules and timelines.
- Oversee and facilitate the installation of equipment and components for a project to ensure contractors are fulfilling all obligations and that work is carried out according to approved contracts, specifications, and schedules.
- Serve as a liaison with project management, reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress, and delays.
- Participate in project meetings and facilitate regularly-scheduled meetings related to BIM execution and deliverables for the project.
- Support integration of project data such as schedule, estimate, documentation, cost reports, and performance data.
- Interpret designs and drawings for technicians.
- Track RFIs, Shop Drawings, As-built drawings, and other project documents.
- Proactively identify and work to resolve any site issues that may impede the project delivery.
- Provide technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractors.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work in a cost-effective, customer-focused, team-based environment.
- Effective team participation and ability to coordinate work of drafters.
- Previous experience working on a large utilities complex, preferably on a public infrastructure project.
- Valid driver's license, preferably with a clean abstract.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Work Environment:
The Construction Field Coordinator - Buildings, Electrical, Mechanical Specialist will work in an in-process construction site, which includes working at-heights, outdoors in all types of weather, climbing stairs and ladders, negotiating steep or slippery terrain, and exposure to noise and dust.
