About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at AHA Indian Food Paradise. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Handling
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
    • Portion and wrap foods accurately and efficiently to meet customer demand.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs as required.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Ensure all kitchen areas are tidy and organized to meet health and safety standards.
  • Inventory Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas as required.
    • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve kitchen goals and objectives.
    • Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and management to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a high level of physical activity.
    • Be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as required.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
