Brandt is actively looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician to support operations in the Estevan area, with reporting responsibilities to our Regina Material Handling facility. This role focuses on the upkeep and repair of forklift-related machinery and attachments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly assess the operational state of heavy-duty machinery, diagnosing issues, and performing assembly/disassembly as needed.
  • Safely and efficiently utilize secondary materials and equipment.
  • Employ relevant tools, including hand and power tools, along with computer systems for effective service delivery.
  • Document all machine details, actions performed, and time spent on work orders accurately.
  • Regularly evaluate service task risks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Utilize computer applications and information systems (such as John Deere Service Advisor) for maintenance documentation, inspections, and diagnostics.
  • Refer to parts catalogs to identify and requisition necessary components from parts personnel.
  • Conduct road tests on equipment and verify attachment functionality as required.


Essential Skills

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers, service teams, and branch staff.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.


Qualifications

  • Prior mechanical experience in heavy equipment or automotive settings is advantageous.
  • Certification as a Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment Technician trade or an equivalent trade is preferred.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service and service quality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
