We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Processor to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Surgical Processor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the decontamination, reassembly, and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment, and surgical instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate, reassemble, and sterilize hospital supplies, equipment, and surgical instrumentation using aseptic technique and Universal Precautions.
- Perform biological, chemical, and quality assurance testing to ensure instrumentation and equipment are in proper working order.
- Report any problems or issues to the supervisor or designate.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program.
- Completion of a Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification.
