Job Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing opening and closing procedures, overseeing daily store activities, and leading staff during designated shifts.
This role involves maintaining the store's aesthetic and product display according to company standards while serving as a knowledgeable resource for team members. Responsibilities include supervising employees, assisting cashiers, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing cash flow, performing administrative tasks, setting security systems, and keeping the store organized and presentable.
All Retail Operations Supervisors are expected to exemplify compliance and education, leading by example, providing training, and upholding company standards. This position also requires escalating employee issues and customer inquiries to management for resolution.

Job Duties
- Open and close the retail store, including managing security systems.
- Welcome and assist customers, modeling exemplary conduct for staff.
- Deliver outstanding customer service; foster strong relationships with customers, recommend products, and inform them of promotions.
- Support team member onboarding, training, and ongoing education.
- Cultivate team commitment to high service standards, exceeding customer expectations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of and enforce departmental policies and procedures.
- Address and manage customer complaints professionally.
- Assist in implementing sales strategies and motivate the sales team to meet targets.
- Communicate updates regarding policies, procedures, products, and promotions that impact customers.
- Identify and propose technological solutions to enhance customer experiences.
- Escalate team member concerns to management as necessary.
- Act as a champion of education and compliance.
Education, Training & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in the retail industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in customer service across various settings.
- Clear criminal background check.
- Relevant Cannabis Certification.
Working Conditions
- Manual dexterity required for computer use.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Overtime may be required.
