GIS Data Specialist

The City of Prince George is seeking a skilled GIS Editor to provide support to the GIS team. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to a diverse range of GIS projects, including updating assets, creating interactive and static maps, and performing data cleaning and preparation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide data to customers and city contractors
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests
- Assist professional staff in processing, planning, and developing applications
- Prepare maps, plans, and other presentation materials to support departmental planning and development activities
- Update and maintain the City's Geographic Information System
- Collect and compile a wide range of data, research materials, and information for statistical purposes
Requirements:
- Completed grade 12 and the first year of an advanced diploma in GIS from a recognized technical institute
- Experience with GIS-based mapping in a municipal setting using ESRI ArcGIS software
- Experience with SQL Server Databases is an asset
What We Offer:
- A competitive wage of $31.60 per hour (wage under review) plus 12% in lieu of benefits
