Job Title: Collections Administrator

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Collections Administrator to support our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our Accounts Receivable team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts and ensuring timely collections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and escalate high-priority accounts to ensure timely collections of current billed invoices.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, including terms, billing requirements, and other relevant details.
  • Contribute to month-end consolidation and completeness of departmental tasks.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Support reporting and processing, including customer credit card transactions.
  • Participate in various projects to support the AR and Accounting teams.
  • Make outgoing calls to customers, with a focus on effective communication and resolution.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and management directives.
Requirements:
  • Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of financial principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
