Position Overview:

As a vital member of our team at Amber, you will engage in the meticulous testing of video game titles, ensuring that all text, visuals, and audio components are accurately represented in Japanese.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough testing of video game titles, verifying the integrity of text, images, and voice-over elements in Japanese.
  • Identify and document translation, contextual, cultural, and other linguistic discrepancies within the game content.
  • Log errors in a bug-tracking system or translation document with clarity and precision.
  • Suggest corrective measures for identified issues to enhance the quality of linguistic and translated materials.
  • Adhere to established terminology guidelines throughout the testing process.
  • Collaborate with team members to cross-reference issues across various languages.
  • Report directly to the Test Lead, following their guidance and instructions.
  • Proactively address and escalate any challenges encountered during testing to the Test Lead.
Required Qualifications:
  • Fluency in Japanese at a native level.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Familiarity with mobile, PC, and console gaming devices, along with their associated terminology.
  • A strong passion for video games and gaming culture.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
