Job Title: Mechatronics Engineer

At CATSearch HR Consultancy Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automation systems for various industries, including laboratory settings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions with existing equipment and workflows.
  • Develop and test experimental protocols for new automation technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain automation platforms, including robotic and analytical systems.
  • Create research presentations with clear data visualizations and work with computer science teams on data and visualization.
  • Assist in preparing grant proposals and manuscripts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including chemical handling and environmental management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in automation design and implementation, preferably in a laboratory setting.
  • Proficient in Python, API integration, and code debugging.
  • Skilled with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
  • Strong electronics and lab equipment troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiar with UPLC/HPLC instruments and chromatography data systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
