About the RoleThis is a key position that requires a deep understanding of wealth management marketing and the ability to adapt designs to meet the needs of different channels and audiences.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute creative assets, including design, graphics, video, and mixed media.
- Develop a deep understanding of business objectives, target audiences, and marketing strategy to deliver compelling designs and visual assets.
- Apply Raymond James brand standards to all design work, adapting as necessary to meet the needs of the Canadian market or special requirements.
- Draw on insights provided by marketing to create powerful visual assets that leverage audience insights and connect the audience to the RJL brand.
- Adapt and customize design to address the requirements of different distribution channels, including our website, social media, and other firm channels.
- Contribute to a seamless user experience across all design products.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to develop and propose designs in alignment with their strategies.
- Iterate on design concepts and drafts with marketing colleagues, incorporating feedback and insights from business line partners as needed.
- Identify and recommend visual or mixed media approaches based on analytics and best practices to augment content and work with the content team to finalize the product.
- Work with marketing colleagues in the US to remain up to date on brand standards and how to apply them to our marketing products in Canada.
- Consult with our advisor marketing design team to build scale and flexibility across the team, ensuring alignment on projects underway and seeking opportunities to leverage each other's insights and designs.
- As required, work with outside consulting firms to lead or direct design projects.
- As the senior content developer on the team, lead complex content development on projects requiring new value messaging and ensure messaging alignment and consistency across the firm.
- Collaborate with the AVP, Marketing content on the team strategy and lead strategic initiatives on behalf of the team.

QualificationsTo be considered for this opportunity, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts/Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in creative direction, design, and marketing communications.
- A detailed eye for color, design, visual hierarchy, animation, accessibility, and typography.
- Agile problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and appreciate feedback.
- Interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the business and communicate with colleagues to find solutions.
- Operates with a high degree of accountability and proactivity.
This role excludes any candidate who intends to maintain an outside consulting business or consulting arrangement. Other business activities must be disclosed to the firm and addressed through the screening process.
