About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cement Finishing Specialist to join our team at Skyscraper Construction and Cement Finishing Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Finishing: Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade, and impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Formwork and Steel Reinforcement: Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Surface Preparation: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement, and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures.
  • Surface Restoration: Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces, and repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Documentation and Communication: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

  • Work Site Environment: Dusty, at heights, noisy, and outdoors.
  • Work Setting: Commercial and industrial settings.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field or equivalent experience.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and a team player.

  • Language: English.
