Description:
As a Horticulture Technician with Clintar Commercial Outdoor Services, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our clients' outdoor spaces. Your expertise in horticulture will be essential in ensuring the health and beauty of gardens, landscapes, and green spaces.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct site assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop effective maintenance plans
• Construct and maintain gardens, landscapes, and green spaces using a variety of tools and equipment
• Plan and execute tasks to ensure efficient and effective job completion
• Operate and maintain small engine equipment, hand tools, and other landscape maintenance equipment
• Plant seeds, transplant seedlings, and care for growing plants
• Inspect and treat trees, shrubs, and plants to ensure their health and well-being
• Perform manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments, including sweeping, raking, and pruning
• Assist with landscape constructions and installations as needed
• Complete daily paperwork, tracking job time and material costs
• Wear personal protective equipment at all times and comply with company policies and regulations
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:
• Completion of college, vocational, or technical training in horticulture or a related field
• Horticulturist Trade Certification or Lawn Gardener Trade Certification
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in horticulture or a related field
• Strong knowledge of plant identification, including trees, shrubs, and perennials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Physically fit with strong stamina and ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Basic measurement and calculation skills
• Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills

Education and/or Experience:
• Completion of college, vocational, or technical training in horticulture or a related field

• Physically fit with strong stamina and ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly

Language Skills:
• Speak, read, and write English
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

Mathematical Skills:
• Basic measurement and calculation skills

Work Conditions:
• Ability to work with hand tools, small engine equipment, and materials
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Requires good manual dexterity and excellent stamina
• Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
• Work outdoors in various conditions, including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
• Flexible working hours, including occasional weekend work
