Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced scholar to join our team as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Ancient and/or Asian Philosophy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the academic community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop courses in Ancient and/or Asian Philosophy, including undergraduate and graduate-level courses;
  • Conduct research and publish scholarly articles and books in the field of Ancient and/or Asian Philosophy;
  • Supervise graduate students and provide guidance on their research projects;
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and outreach activities;
  • Maintain a strong research program and secure external funding to support research initiatives;
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the university to develop interdisciplinary research projects and initiatives;
  • Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and academic programs.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Ancient and/or Asian Philosophy or a related field;
  • Demonstrated expertise in Ancient and/or Asian Philosophy, with a strong research record and a clear vision for future research projects;
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the academic community;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals;
