Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at 2590235 Ontario Inc. as a Restaurant Cook. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in stock.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Transportation: Own vehicle, with the ability to travel to and from work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cuisine Specialties: South Indian cuisine, with experience in vegetarian food preparation.
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced restaurant environment, with the ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods.
