Job Summary:

The Churchill Health Centre is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to join our team. As a Pharmacy Clerk, you will provide supportive duties to the Pharmacist, including clerical and reception tasks related to client service in the Pharmacy Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional client service and support to the Pharmacist and other staff members.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and procedures.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in clerical and/or secretarial duties an asset.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
  • Computer knowledge in Word, Excel programs an asset.
  • Familiarity with office systems, photocopiers, facsimiles, and complex telephone systems.
  • Accuracy and precision in detailed work, consistent with accepted standards of practice in a pharmacy workplace.
  • Ability to work co-operatively with the public and staff as a team member.
  • Polite, helpful, and courteous manner when communicating with patients/residents, families, the general public, and other staff members/consultants.
