Job Overview

The Pharmacy Retail Clerk is a key member of the Churchill Health Centre team, providing exceptional client service and supporting the Pharmacist in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist the Pharmacist with clerical and reception duties, including answering phones, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication management and patient safety protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in clerical and/or secretarial duties an asset.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a retail pharmacy environment, with exposure to various medications and medical equipment.
  • May be required to lift heavy objects or stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
