About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our Products and Terminals (P&T) EHS Team at Irving Oil Limited. As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in support of all EHS-related requirements pertaining to our Canadian marine terminals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and expertise in EHS-related requirements
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day site safety
  • Work closely with operations personnel and contractors to safely execute high-risk projects and maintenance activities
  • Review and revise internal programs and policies as needed
  • Assume a lead role in responding to and investigating all EHS-related incidents
  • Facilitate compliance with process safety management program elements
  • Proactively identify hazardous conditions and potential areas of non-compliance

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant experience in EHS and/or petroleum and/or transportation industry
  • Post-secondary education in EHS program or equivalent experience
  • Professional Safety designation is an asset
