The Senior Procurement Specialist for IT plays a pivotal role in managing the sourcing of approximately $100 million in collective technology-related indirect expenditures for McCain Foods. This individual is tasked with formulating sourcing strategies, implementing tactics, and executing key initiatives within the IT category, which encompasses Hardware, S4/HANA, Software/SaaS, Telecom/Networking, and Consulting Services.

This position involves conducting sourcing events, negotiating commercial agreements, and fostering supplier relationships, ensuring performance monitoring and value generation. The Senior Procurement Specialist will provide recommendations and insights on optimal solutions for the organization.

Bringing extensive experience and expertise in IT procurement, the successful candidate will be well-versed in the Coupa Source to Pay system and adept at aligning business requirements with procurement best practices to drive commercial outcomes. This role is responsible for establishing a comprehensive supplier relationship strategy, ensuring ethical treatment of suppliers, and reinforcing policies in collaboration with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost-focused strategies for assigned IT sub-categories.
  • Plan and execute sourcing events to achieve ongoing cost savings targets.
  • Manage contract renewals and negotiate to mitigate cost increases.
  • Deliver Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) through effective analysis and negotiations.
  • Establish a supplier relationship program to create significant value for McCain Foods.
  • Build strong partnerships with IT, Finance, Compliance, and Legal teams.
  • Ensure proper management of procurement transactions within the Indirect category.
  • Facilitate the adoption and maintenance of Coupa for the Global Procurement Team.
  • Develop and execute strategies for assigned categories.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or IT; a Master's degree or procurement accreditation is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in IT-related spend areas; candidates with less experience but relevant indirect procurement knowledge may be considered.
  • Ability to foster strong internal and external partnerships.

Essential Competencies:

  • Proficient in Coupa or similar sourcing tools for Source to Pay modules.
  • Knowledgeable in SAP and indirect procurement systems.
  • Experience in reviewing Master Agreements and negotiating Statements of Work.
  • Strong command of MS Office, particularly Excel for data analysis.
