We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Johnson Fu Insurance Agency Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for building predictive models, conducting research, and analyzing large datasets to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement predictive models to forecast insurance claims and policyholder behavior
  • Conduct research on data availability and suitability for modeling purposes
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns
  • Document data access rules and ensure data security
  • Extract information from unstructured data sources and create data visualizations
  • Highlight key data sources and methodologies for specific projects
  • Research data collection and administration policies
  • Synthesize technical information through data visualization
  • Use ensemble modeling to combine multiple algorithms for better predictive performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science)
  • 2-3 years of experience in data science or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
