Nova Scotia Health, recognized as Atlantic Canada's largest academic health care organization, is seeking an Oncology Medical Physicist for a newly established role within the Cancer Care Program at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.

As a vital member of the Medical Physics Department, you will contribute significantly to cancer care, collaborating with a dynamic team comprising 14 oncology physicists, two imaging physicists, one oncology physics resident, a medical physics assistant, 13 dosimetrists, four electronics/IT technologists, two IMIT analysts, and one mechanical technologist.

Your responsibilities will include supporting clinical services while advancing the department's academic objectives, which encompass research and postgraduate training initiatives.

In a clinical capacity, you will engage in treatment planning, quality assurance, and the development of innovative treatment techniques and protocols.

Academically, you will hold a faculty position in the Dalhousie University Department of Radiation Oncology, providing instruction and supervision in CAMPEP-accredited Master's, Doctoral, and Certificate programs in medical physics.

Required qualifications include a Doctoral degree in Medical Physics or Physics with a specialization in Medical Physics;
# A proven record of funded research in radiation oncology physics;
# Proficiency in additional languages is an asset, with French being preferred.
