Role Overview
The Intelligent Systems Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the integration and optimization of cutting-edge technologies within our water utility framework. This position is essential for the effective and efficient provision of water services, leveraging smart systems such as IoT devices, AI-driven analytics, and automated control mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with asset operators and the Nerve Centre to enhance operational insights and decision-making processes.
- Lead and execute initiatives that necessitate cross-departmental and interagency collaboration on large-scale or complex projects.
- Ensure the organization adapts to emerging operational demands stemming from enterprise and industry initiatives, providing a cohesive approach to planning, development, and execution of projects.
- Actively engage in local, regional, national, and industry-wide advancements in the water sector on behalf of Watercare.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior management role.
- Exceptional skills in articulating and presenting technical, managerial, and business concepts.
- A proven ability to cultivate and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership success through the implementation of organization-wide initiatives.
Experience in local government and a background in the water sector would be beneficial.
