Job Title: Provincial Wellbeing Manager

Shared Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Provincial Wellbeing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Shared Health Workforce team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a provincial workplace wellbeing strategy to promote the holistic wellbeing of Manitoba's healthcare workforce.

Main Function:

The Provincial Wellbeing Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of provincial wellbeing initiatives, prevention strategies, and policies that promote the wellbeing of healthcare workers. This includes building provincial capacity in responding to crisis, promoting recovery, and fostering awareness of mental health supports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a provincial wellbeing strategy that promotes the holistic wellbeing of healthcare workers
  • Lead the development and implementation of wellbeing initiatives, prevention strategies, and policies
  • Build provincial capacity in responding to crisis, promoting recovery, and fostering awareness of mental health supports
  • Collaborate with Wellbeing Leaders and Service Delivery Organizations to execute the provincial wellbeing strategy
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote wellbeing and mental health
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience working in the healthcare delivery system and/or in a directly related role in healthcare
  • 2 years managerial experience and a successful track record of management and supervision of interdisciplinary teams in health care
  • Experience in clinical consultation with clinicians and teams
  • Strong clinical knowledge of mental health interventions, trauma, workplace stress, operational stress injuries, psychological safety in the workplace, and mental health and wellness
  • Experience and knowledge with the delivery of services and programs that foster equity, diversity, inclusion
  • Experience and demonstrated sensitivity in collaborating with Indigenous Peoples and culturally diverse populations
Education and Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Public Health, Health Sciences or a related field)
  • Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Nursing, or other related healthcare discipline preferred
  • Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and influence interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including Service Delivery Organizations, Occupational and Environmental Safety & Health (OESH), Shared Health, Manitoba Health, and other health providers
