Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our team at TAG HR. As a Family Lawyer, you will be responsible for litigating family law matters, negotiating and drafting contracts and pleadings, and providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Litigate family law matters, including preparing for, arguing and attending Conferences, Motions, Trials, etc.
  • Negotiate, draft, review, and manage a variety of family law contracts and pleadings, such as: Domestic Contracts, Applications, Answers, Conference Briefs, Motion materials, etc.
  • Create strong and long-lasting connections with clients.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and collegial team environment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of strong experience as a Family Law Lawyer.
  • A member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • A passion for family law.
  • To be comfortable and have experience in Court for various proceedings.
  • Apply high standards and integrity to your work.
  • Have strong drafting and analytical skills to assess complex issues while providing your unique perspective.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Provide effective legal advice on matters with significant complexity and risk exposures.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Solid customer service skills and professionalism.
  • Bilingual in English & French is an asset.
