About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Talent Development Partner to join our team at the CCTS-CPRST. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in analyzing, developing, implementing, and deploying organization talent development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Talent Development Program:
    • Support the growth of cross-training to create effective internal response teams to support other employee groups as needed.
    • Align current and future talent strategies with organizational and HR strategies.
    • Develop supporting data and forecast talent needs at all levels of the organization through data-driven stakeholder input.
    • Develop and prepare regular reporting on the state of talent within the CCTS-CPRST, and present results to senior levels of leadership as needed. Articulate practical recommendations with both short-term and long-term strategies.
    • Conduct thorough training needs analysis with stakeholders as needed to develop, maintain, and evaluate the success of a talent development program. Utilize a variety of tools including movement analyses, talent review, skills gap analyses, etc.
    • Set goals for the Talent Development Program based on building a workplace culture of strong workplace performance and engagement. Build and amend HR process training documentation for use by human resources and leadership, providing audience-appropriate documentation for all other employees.
    • Develop, implement, maintain, monitor, and adjust career pathing plans for employees in both vertical and horizontal directions.
    • Regularly assess success of the Talent Development Program, adjusting as necessary.
    • Support business continuity and succession management plans for all levels of leadership, with a particular focus on senior leadership.
  2. Refine recruitment attraction and retention strategies:
    • Identify knowledge, skills, abilities gaps within the CCTS-CPRST, using this knowledge to refine current talent acquisition strategies, including building talent pathways.
    • Support DEI initiatives by improving targeting of diverse candidate groups to ensure a strong cross-section of candidates from various backgrounds.
  3. Onboarding Processes:
    • Review and refine existing onboarding processes and training to ensure early leverage of employee talent.
  4. Organizational Behaviour:
    • Elevate existing engagement and recognition activities within the CCTS-CPRST to intentionally drive employee performance and organizational success, working with members of the Human Resources team.
  5. Additional Duties:
    • Support the Website Committee.
    • Other work as may be reasonably assigned.
Requirements
  • A minimum four years' experience in a development role, such as talent development advisor, human resources business partner, talent strategist, or organizational development consultant.
  • Relevant post-secondary education, such as a degree/diploma in human resources, adult education, organizational development/behavior.
  • Proven professional experience in building and maintaining talent development programs.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills, and a knack for motivating and influencing others.
  • Strong client service skills, and skilled in relationship management.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both orally and in writing. Bilingual (English/French)? Fantastic Preference to those with strong ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, in both official languages.
  • Not your first walk around the not-for-profit block? Great Having previous experience in the not-for-profit industry is an asset.
