Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering West Group. This role is based in our Etobicoke and Mississauga offices and is a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance on geotechnical projects, including conducting field investigations and interpreting laboratory test results.
  • Support senior engineers in the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, geotechnical studies, and engineering reports for projects of varying complexity.
  • Lead the planning and execution of geotechnical site investigations while collaborating with field supervisors.
  • Conduct geotechnical analyses, such as bearing capacity, settlement, and slope stability, under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Prepare comprehensive geotechnical studies and engineering reports, offering recommendations on various project aspects.
  • Manage projects of different scales, providing technical input and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Collaborate with engineering professionals from diverse teams on geotechnical consulting projects.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A postgraduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Geotechnical Engineering is considered an asset.
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Registered or eligible for immediate registration as a Professional Engineer.
  • Proficiency in standard geotechnical software, such as Rocscience or similar tools.
  • Strong skills in technical writing, interpersonal communication, and emotional intelligence.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
