Senior Fund Accountant

Sagard Holdings Inc. is a leading alternative asset manager with a strong presence in Canada, the US, Europe, and Asia. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our fast-paced Finance organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality financial reporting to our private and public investors, working closely with various teams and senior fund accountants.
  • Coordinate with legal and business teams to administer and launch new series for private equity and healthcare royalty funds, and participate in the fund-raising process.
  • Collaborate with the fund administrator and internal investor relation team to generate quarterly client reports and other marketing materials.
  • Manage the subscription and redemption process, perform monthly reconciliations of the funds' cash and investment positions, and oversee the fund's tax compliance process.
  • Assist with control assessments, determine the accounting classification for new and existing fund portfolio investments, and coordinate audit activities with the funds' external auditor.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting work experience, preferably in private equity funds.
  • CA/CPA certification with specialization in IFRS is preferred.
  • Outstanding academic and professional achievements, with a strong team-oriented and inclusive operating style.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for investing and a willingness to work nights and weekends when required.
