Heavy Duty Equipment Technician

Swerdna Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment, and perform necessary repairs to ensure equipment meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including documentation of work performed and materials used.
- Quality Control: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets quality standards and is safe for operation.
- Certifications: Possess a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and an Automotive Service Licence (310S), as well as a Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
- Experience: Experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair is an asset.
- Physical Demands: The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent overtime required.
- Tools and Equipment: Possess necessary tools and steel-toed safety boots.
The work environment is physically demanding, with dusty and noisy conditions. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of dependability, flexibility, and reliability is essential.
