Inventory Control Manager

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team at J B TRANSPORT. As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management system, coordinating activities with other work units or departments, and preparing and submitting reports.
Key Responsibilities:- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory data, including tracking and reporting on stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
- Develop and implement inventory management procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of inventory control staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- 1-2 years of experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field an asset.
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Regularly required to sit for extended periods, use computer and other office equipment, and communicate with staff and management.
- English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
